Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology

The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology (IISB) is one of the two Fraunhofer Institutes located in Erlangen. Around 220 employees and numerous students conducts applied research and development in the field of electronic systems for application in electric mobility, aerospace, Industry 4.0, power grids, energy technology and several technological fields.

A strong group works on Computational Lithography and Optics. It contributes a regular course to our programme. Students can work as research assistants in the group (or other IISB  groups not directly involved in MAOT) or complete their master’s thesis there. The group also offers PhD positions for research projects at the Fraunhofer Institute. .
