Courses
All MAOT courses are taught in English. This makes the programme accessible to all international students. German students also benefit in that they learn about the technologies in the language which is commonly used in the scientific world and, increasingly, in industrial environments, too.
Modules / Courses
Please note: Formally the curriculum consists of modules which students pass by sitting the module exam. The module exams are based on one or more course(s) linked to the module. In most cases, a module consists of a single course with the same title (and then appear to be the same thing, but they aren’t); a small number of modules are linked to more than one course, in which case the exam is also based on more than one course. At the Campo platform you can find the modules for which courses are offered in the current semester.
The following modules / courses are some of those offered regularly at MAOT. Each semester there are other courses that are not taught regularly. For a full list of the regular courses and more information please go to the sub-menues.
- All of the lectures in fundamentals are mandatory, and are studied in the first semester.
- For the second and third semester students select courses from the topic-specific lectures according to their majors.
- These courses carry a total of 45 ECTS (European Credit Transfer Points) (plus 5 ECTS from two lab courses).
Please note: The diagram shows the topics from winter term 2025/26 on. The lists of individual courses are still organised by the current topics. The actual courses will stay the same, just the overarching topics will change.
